The Origin and Evolution of VI Development and Construction

Our company started with a simple concept of combining the strengths of development and construction to provide a superior product at reasonable costs and higher profit margins.  In the beginning a strong partnership was formed between David Miller, Jason Hiltabiddle and Rob Johnson.  As a former bank founder and president of 20 years, David understands the financial underwriting needed to make sure a real estate project will be successful.   He also has 15 years’ experience as a real estate professional and broker in charge with strong market knowledge.  These skill sets combined with Jason Hiltabiddle’s 30 years of construction expertise and Unlimited General Contractors licenses are central to our companies.  Rob Johnson’s proven 30 years of experience with successfully managing the operations of multiple companies and his accounting expertise as a CPA gives our group the foundation needed to form a strong company built on teamwork. 

VI stands for Vertically Integrated.  By vertically integrating our development projects with our in-house construction team we can combine two profit centers that are typically independent of each other.  This gives us the distinctive ability to be flexible with pricing and reduces overall project costs. Lower costs provide better returns for our project investors.  Also, having ownership in both the development project as well as the construction company uniquely aligns our interests with investors.  Our construction company provides a fixed price contract for building our projects.  This gives our investors and lenders piece of mind to know they can rely on our budget numbers.
